Hello, we are students in the Robotics Club of Mountain Pointe High School.  We would like to thank you in advance for taking time to read this and expressing interest in supporting our project of building a robot for the upcoming FIRST robotics competition early in 2020. FIRST stands for: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

 

As aspiring engineers, we are learning about the many skills engineers use while building a robot.  In working through the Engineering Design Algorithm we always work with constraints, with our main constraint being competition fees and costs. We are asking for your support in any way possible. The main way our team is funded is through generous donations of community organizations such as yourself.  Any donation will help us in reaching our goal.

 

Registration costs for our robotics competition alone are $5000. This does not cover the cost of extra material to build our robot.  We spend an additional $2000-$3000 every year to build a competitive robot.  Three years ago our robotics team placed 1st in the 2016 Arizona West Regional and Arizona State FIRST Robotics Competition.  We also attended the FIRST World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2019, we won the Gracious Professionalism Award at the Arizona West Regional.

 

We are incredibly determined to show off our knowledge and commitment to compete for the best robot build in the state of Arizona, but we need support from the community to contribute to our team.  If you are interested in becoming one of our supporters, please fill out the form.
